This policy explains what Distro America collects through this website, why we collect it, and how long we keep it. It applies to distro-america.com only.
What we collect
- Wholesale application data. Company name, contact name, business email, phone and WhatsApp numbers, business address, state, ZIP, business type and business licence number.
- Uploaded documents. Business licence and resale certificate files, where you choose to upload them.
- Quote lists. Products you add to your quote list are stored in your browser only, until you choose to send the list to us over WhatsApp.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider processes your IP address in order to serve the site.
Why we collect it
Application data and uploaded documents are used to verify that an applicant is a legitimate trading business before the trade price list is released. We do not use any of this data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Who processes it
The site is hosted on Netlify, and form submissions and uploaded files are stored in Netlify Forms under our account. Messages you send us go through WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. Each of those providers processes data under its own terms.
How long we keep it
Application records and uploaded documents are retained for as long as the account relationship is active, and for a further three years afterwards for tax and regulatory record-keeping. Rejected applications are deleted within 12 months.
Your choices
You can ask us to confirm what we hold about your business, correct it, or delete it, by contacting us on WhatsApp at +1 (817) 254-0695 or through the contact details on our home page. Clearing your browser's local storage removes your quote list from your device.
Children
This is a trade site intended for businesses. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
